This is for artists who live, work or study in the 9 counties of the Bay Area or in Sacramento and Santa Cruz counties who were born in other countries, and it is open to many different media. Please SIGN UP to participate.
If you are a Viewer and visitor, please take a look below at some of the art that has been created in the first ever regional series of art prizes. This page will be updated whenever new work is submitted. There are other categories you will find very interesting, please visit this one and all the others as well.
And if you are a viewer, please consider donating a tax-deductible donation or purchase a print from some other Bay Area artists who want to sell some of their work to help fund this first ever regional Prize for Art!
There will be one winner at $500 and an essay and 3 honorable mention awards at $100 each. The awards will be cash awards or a gift certificate to a Bay Area store specializing in art-related services for the Immigrant Artists’ group. As well all the works here will be eligible for 2 more voted awards, voted on after the Prize for Art closes on November 14, one award by the participating Artists and one by Viewers who have signed up and voted. The awards will be announced as soon after voting ends on November 25 as possible!
Artists may enter more than one category. Each category is awarded separately. Each artist is eligible for one award per category. Works that have won in the previous Prize for Art are not eligible for the 2024 Sheridan Prize for Art. The Winner and Honorable Mentions will be shown here above after November 25!
